Mental Health Care Plans

The General Practitioners have extensive experience dealing with various mental health issues like the treatment of depression, stress management, addiction, anxiety, grief, and other mental health issues, for children, adolescents and adults. They can diagnose, prepare mental health management plans, provide treatment, and refer you to a mental health expert and mental health services when required.

A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is a referral our General Practitioners can provide to support patients to access further care from mental health experts. Your General Practitioner will determine if you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan.

With an MHCP, you will be able to access up to 10 Medicare-subsidised psychology sessions every 12 months. After the first 6 sessions, you must book an appointment with your General Practitioner for review before any additional sessions can be accessed.

To ensure continuity of care, it is important that you continue to visit your usual General Practitioner for your initial MHCP and any reviews of your MHCP.  Contact us to book this appointment.
